Xeinadin fuels SME growth and supports entrepreneurs in the South with the acquisition of two firms
Xeinadin, one of the UK’s top 20 professional services firms, has expanded its footprint in the South of England with the acquisitions of JCS Accountants in Sutton, Surrey, and Mudd Partners LLP in Essex. Integration enables greater collaboration between Mudd, JCS and other Xeinadin offices in the South, allowing for shared resources and expertise in specialist areas such as auditing and digital solutions.
Founded in 1927, JCS Accountants has almost a century long history of working closely with charities and family-owned businesses, making them a trusted partner in these sectors. Their expertise in charity audits is unusual for a firm of their size, allowing them to compete with larger firms that have dedicated charity departments while maintaining a personal and client-focused approach.
Dick Haffenden, director at JCS Accountants, commented: “Xeinadin is a firm that shares our values of delivering a complete package of services whilst maintaining a high-quality and collaborative client service. By joining forces with the Xeinadin team, we not only strengthen the services we can offer to our clients but also provide our staff with the opportunity to benefit from the resources and collaborative network of a larger organisation. We are confident this will allow us to better meet the changing needs of our clients and build on the strong foundations we have already established.”
Mudd transitioned to Xeinadin from day one, fully rebranding under its new name at the start of January 2025. The acquisition strengthens Xeinadin’s presence in Essex by bringing in a firm with a long-standing reputation for working with owner-managed businesses and delivering high-quality audit services. Mudd has built a respected team that continues to attract significant clients through referrals, further enhancing Xeinadin’s audit capabilities.
Colin Jones, director at MUDD, commented: “Joining Xeinadin was the right move for us, as it allows us to continue operating with the same values and personal approach our clients value, while gaining the support and infrastructure of a larger organisation. From day one, we’ve seen the benefits of being part of Xeinadin, from expanded back-office support to the ability to collaborate with specialists across the company. This transition not only secures the long-term future of our firm but also gives our clients access to a wider range of services and expertise.”
Derry Crowley, CEO of Xeinadin, welcomed both firms to the group, stating: “Mudd Partners LLP and JCS Accountants have built strong reputations in the South of England by providing businesses and charities with the tailored support they need to succeed in a competitive regional economy. Their expertise in charity audit and their client-focused approaches align perfectly with Xeinadin’s commitment to supporting SMEs and specialist sectors. We welcome Mudd Partners LLP and JCS into Xeinadin and look forward to building on their nearly century-long legacies of trusted service, while ensuring that their clients continue to receive tailored financial guidance – now backed by the full strength of Xeinadin’s resources and national network.”
The acquisition strengthens Xeinadin’s foothold in the entrepreneurial South of England. JCS’s and Mudd’s experienced teams will benefit from Xeinadin’s ability to deliver partner-led agility, unmatched service offerings and cloud accounting expertise. From family-run businesses to local charities and healthcare providers, JCS and Mudd’s clients will benefit from Xeinadin’s truly comprehensive, digital-first solutions and an expansive network of expertise.
