United Trust Bank wins ‘Development Lender of the Year’ at the NACFB Awards 2020
United Trust Bank has been named ‘Development Lender of the Year’ at the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) Awards 2020.
This year’s ‘virtual’ awards ceremony was held on the 26th November and 31 sought after awards were given to the Association’s Lender and Broker members recognizing industry excellence throughout 2020. All categories are awarded based on votes from NACFB members and the feedback of an expert judging panel.
When the Covid-19 pandemic struck, UTB took the decision to keep lending and to support customers and brokers despite the challenges and considerable market uncertainty ahead. The Bank implemented cloud-based solutions enabling staff to work effectively from home, continue to consider proposals, offer quick and reliable credit decisions and provide support to customers mid-project. In the summer UTB launched a range of CBILS products designed specifically for housebuilders and developers and it continued to expand the development finance team with six new hires. The result has been a record year for new property lending in 2020.
