Bob Bob Ricard, luxury London restaurant brand, has been supported with working capital funding by leading alternative finance provider to mid-sized SMEs, ThinCats.
Opened in 2008 by CEO, Leonid Shutov, the Soho branch of Bob Bob Ricard became known for its unlimited champagne, fine vodka and luxurious interior design.
The restaurant serves a classic British & Russian menu to diners in its famous all-booth dining room, and the second branch to open serves a French & Russian menu from its City venue. Each table is equipped with a “Press for Champagne” button, and the restaurants are famous for pouring more champagne than any other restaurant in Britain.
Following the prolonged closure of all hospitality venues across the country throughout 2020 and the first half of 2021, the business sought working capital funding to support the successful reopening of both venues.
Leonid Shutov, CEO, Bob Bob Ricard: “This has been a very difficult time for the hospitality industry, but we are seeing a huge resurgence in bookings now that the restrictions are lifting, and we have very high hopes not only for a return to our previous levels of business, but in fact signs are good for even higher numbers of people looking for our unique combination of private booths, great food and champagne on tap.”
Dave Sherrington, regional head of sales, London, ThinCats: “I’ve known Leonid for many years and always been an admirer of what he and his team have consistently achieved. Their passion and commitment, and their knowledge of what was going to be required to get the business firing again once restrictions were eased, are second to none. The restaurants are an iconic institution well loved by their clientele, and I have no doubt that customers old and new will be returning in force now that they are open again.”
