Mazars appoints Jim Boylan as tax partner in its London office
Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm, has appointed Jim Boylan as a tax partner in its London office. Jim joins Mazars from EY, where he was an associate partner. He will be responsible for driving further growth within the Specialist Tax Services team, with a focus on the Large and Listed sector, both in London and across the UK. He brings more than 30 years’ experience, having previously worked in government at HMRC and in private practice at Big 4 firms. He will predominantly be working with large businesses to ensure that they effectively manage their employment tax risks. His recent areas of focus have included IR35, National Minimum Wage (NMW) and during the pandemic ensuring that employers have implemented their Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) arrangements correctly.
Like Mazars as a whole, he is a passionate supporter of inclusion and diversity and will contribute to a team culture where every individual is valued and given the opportunity to succeed irrespective of their background. In an ever evolving and complex employment tax market, he is looking forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the team, and further build Mazars’ brand and profile.
Clive Fathers, head of Mazars Specialist Tax Services, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Jim to our rapidly growing team. Our rate of growth over the last 18 months is approaching 20%, as the reputation of our high quality team grows and market reform accelerates the demand for our Specialist Tax Services. I look forward to working with Jim as we continue to invest in and grow our excellent team and provide our clients with an innovative and highly skilled alternative service offering.”
