KHK Capital secures £65m credit facility from Shawbrook and HTB
Specialist property lender KHK Capital has received further funding from Shawbrook, alongside Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), taking its total facility to £65m. London- based, KHK provides short-term, property-backed loans to property professionals for business purposes.
KHK initially started working with Shawbrook in 2020, when the specialist lender provided a facility worth £12.5m. The facility was then syndicated with HTB in 2022. Supporting strong performance, the two lenders have since increased the combined facility to £65m.
Since working with Shawbrook over the last four years, KHK’s loan book has grown to £100m, boasting impressive growth and prompting the latest facility increase to £65m with a three-year extension.
KHK has maintained a streamlined operational structure, prioritising strong client relationships and efficiency. Its ethos centres on fostering borrower trust, applying expert underwriting principles, and driving productivity. By investing in automated processes and systems, the business has achieved significant growth while maintaining cost and staffing efficiency.
Shawbrook was retained as KHK’s funding partner due to the strong relationship between the two parties, and the additional funding will provide KHK Capital with the headroom needed to originate new loans and ultimately achieve loan book growth.
