ECI expands commercial team with new hire
ECI Partners, the leading growth-focused mid-market private equity firm, today announces that it has expanded its commercial team with new Associate, Mia Smith. Mia is ECI’s sixth new hire in the last 12 months, representing a 20% increase in investment professionals.
ECI’s commercial team works with portfolio companies, offering hands-on-support to management teams from day one of ECI’s investment. There are five key areas where management teams most often look to ECI for support, including strategic acquisitions, international expansion, people & culture, tech & data, and sales & marketing. Mia will be supporting management teams across all these key focus areas.
Prior to joining ECI, Mia spent four years at OC&C Strategy Consultants, where she worked on a range of customer due diligence and growth strategy projects. Throughout this time, she was part of several public and private transactions including the Trainline IPO, valued at c.£2bn, the second highest value UK IPO in 2019.
Before this, Mia was programme director at Debate Mate, a public speaking and employability skills programme designed for students in areas of high child poverty, where she was responsible for managing relationships with over a hundred schools on the core Debate Mate curriculum.
