Prenton Dental Practice in Merseyside sold for the first time in 27 years
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Prenton Dental Practice in Prenton, Merseyside.
Established in the 1950s, Prenton Dental Practice is a family-run, four-surgery, mixed-income practice. The business occupies a large Tudor-style character property in Prenton on the Wirral, Merseyside, and enjoys a prominent main road position in a built-up residential location.
The practice was previously owned by Dr Alan Parsonage, who acquired the business in 1994, and decided to sell to pursue a well-earned retirement. He comments, “I bought Prenton Dental 27 years ago when it was just a one-surgery practice. It now has four surgeries and is growing, and I’m so pleased to hand it on to Rodericks now which, I’m sure, will take the business to the next level.
“I decided to sell to start the ball rolling on my retirement, though I’m voluntarily staying on at the Practice for a few months part-time to help with transition and will be working as vocational trainer with our Foundation Dentist.
“I’d like to thank Jonathan Watson at Christie & Co and Helen Wong at CRSB Law, both of whom were very knowledgeable and contributed to a smooth and successful sales process.”
Prenton Dental Practice was sold to Rodericks Dental as part of its ongoing acquisition strategy in the North. Speaking on behalf of the company, chief operating officer, Ms Dawn Farrell, comments, “We welcome the clinicians, staff and patients of Prenton Dental Practice to our family and are really looking forward to continuing with our growth plans!”
Jonathan Watson, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “I am delighted for Alan who has achieved a good result after many years at the helm. It was great to complete the transaction so quickly, particularly given the deal was agreed during the pandemic. We generated interest from first-time buyers, regional groups and corporate operators and fully expect this strong demand for mixed practices to continue in 2021.”
The leasehold interest of Prenton Dental Practice was sold off an undisclosed guide price.
