Hartley House care home in Kent has sold to expanding operator
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of care home, Hartley House, in Cranbrook, Kent, to expanding operator, Eleanor Healthcare Group.
Hartley House is a family-run care home registered for 57 service users which benefits from a good CQC report and consistently high occupancy levels. The business operates in a 1980s purpose-built home in Cranbrook, Kent, which lies roughly half-way between Maidstone and Hastings and is circa 38 miles south east of central London.
Hartley House has been purchased by Eleanor Healthcare Group, a large independent operator which offers a wide range of health and social care services including care at home, hospitals logistics, residential care homes and day centres. This is the fourth care home the company has acquired through Christie & Co in the last 10 years, and it fits well with its wider expansion plans.
John Harrison, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “We are delighted to have been able to act for Stephen and Julia Gilmour who have substantially extended, refurbished and successfully operated Hartley House over the 10 years of their ownership. We are also delighted to continue to assist Eleanor Healthcare Group with their expansion plans by completing their fourth purchase through us on a confidential off-market basis.”
Hartley House was sold at an undisclosed price.
